AYA 6번째 프로젝트 BTBM 2 - PACTOLE(팍토르)

AYA-아트코어브라운에서 핫한 8월, 여러분께 ‘BTBM 2’ (Better Thinking Better Mind) 프로젝트 중 특별한 전시공간인 Z.A.G POT (Co-working Space)와 Le Bresson이 함께하는 김영미 전시를 기획하였습니다.

 

‘PACTOLE’는, 불어로 ‘노다지; 부의 원천’ 이라는 의미로,  ‘손에 닿은 것은 모두 황금으로 변하게 만드는 전설 속의 왕, 미다스가 손을 씻은 강 이름에서 유래한 단어입니다. 이번 전시에 대표 작품인, 김영미 작가의 ‘한 잔 하시게나’의 부엉이 손이 바로 미다스의 손을 상징합니다. JACKPOT은 게임에서 같은 숫자가(예;777) 연달아 서로 맞아 떨어질 때를 말합니다. 동음 이의어인, Z.A.G POT에서 Z.A.G은 Zenith. Achievement. Goal 을 의미합니다. ‘PACTOLE’ JACKPOT의 의미처럼, 이번 전시의 작품 관람뿐만 아닌 작가와의 만남, 그림을 사랑하는 여러 컬렉터와 기업인들과의 만남에 ‘대박감성’을 함께 기획합니다. 또한, 문화예술 경영 디자인 컨설팅 기업인 AYA-아트코어브라운의 홍소민 대표님과 함께하는 ‘미술 투자 컨설팅’에 대한 Art Brading ‘Talk & Took’ 시간도 마련될 예정입니다.  Co-Working Space인 Z.A.G POT과 AYA가 진행하는 전시 프로젝트 감성 현장 속 여러분 서로의 만남이 모두 잭팟, 즉 PACTOLE가 되시기를 기대합니다.

전시공간인 Z.A.G POT 1층에 위치한 ‘LeBresson’은 ‘빵 굽는 남자들’이라는 뜻으로, Zenith ; ‘ZAGPOT’ 스러운 빵 문화를 선사하는 공간입니다. ‘LeBresson’의 모든 빵은 인공적으로 만든 이스트가 아닌 장시간 발효로 얻어낸 천연 발효종 반죽으로 만들어진다고 합니다. ㈜ 감성인터네셔널의 또 다른 감성 브랜드 ‘LeBresson’과 함께하는 AYA의 ‘PACTOLE’ 기획을 통해 먹거리, 볼거리, 이야기 거리가 가득한 AYA X Z.A.G POT X LeBreSSon 이 콜라보된 문화예술 오감체험공간 ‘PACTOLE’ 로 여러분을 초대합니다.

9 August 2016, AYA　Artcore Brown organizes Yongmi Kim solo exhibition 'PACTOLE' with Z.A.G POT(CoWorking Space) & LeBresson, the special exhibition space.

 

'Pactole' means 'bonanza:a fountain of wealth' in french. This word is originated from the name of the legendary river where King Midas who changed everything he touches into gold washed his hands.

 

Hands of the owl of the representative work in this show, 'Have a drink' represent hands of the King Midas. When we play a gambling or game, if we get to meet same numbers in a row (ex. 7-7-7), we used to call it 'Jackpot'. Z.A.G Pot has same sound with jackpot, but it is short for Zenith, Achievement, Goal.

'Pactole' ; Like meanings of jackpot, we expect you not only to look around art works, but also meet the artist, collectors and businesses who love arts, with our 'jackpot' mind. Also, the 'Talk & Took' program that you can consult about 'the art investment' with a CEO Yessica HONG of AYA Artcore Brown, the cultrural art design consulting company. We hope your experiences in this show suggested by AYA and Co-Working Space Z.A.G POT wil be your jackpot; Pactole.

 

'LeBresson' In the first floor of Z.A.G POT means 'guys who bake breads' and is the space where offers the baking culture of Z.A.G POT-only. Breads of 'Lebresson' are made from natural dough, not artificial one. We invite you to this 'Pactole', where you can have a chance to taste, look, chat through this project of 'LeBresson', one of brands of Gamsung International corp. and AYA.

 

The Animalized Human Being

 

(Artist's Words)

I tried giving a little twist to my former indicative style of portraying humans like real-life. I painted them into animals instead. It is my way of mocking the loss of humanity in humans today. The animals that appear on my canvas are us human

beings; me, you and every stranger on earth. By placing strangers like myself sitting side by side with animalized caricatures of people, I try to point out the two-faced personality of modern man resulting from the loss of human nature.
